Agisoft offers re-hostable node-locked and floating licenses. A PhotoScan license is NOT time-limited. A PhotoScan license includes 12 months of e-mail based technical support and entitles the licensee to free updates of the software up to the version 1.9.x. To support education in the field of photogrammetry, Agisoft offers educational licenses to educational institutions.

Node-Locked License
The stand-alone license is a re-hostable node-locked license, i.e. one license allows the user to activate the program at one machine only, however, the license can be transferred to a different computer if needed.

Floating License
The floating license allows the user to install the program on as many computers as desired and run it, at any one time, on as many systems as the number of licenses purchased indicates. One computing machine shall be designated as the “license server”; the license server utility installed on it will manage license distribution across the network of computers where the program has been installed.

Educational License
Educational licenses (node-locked and floating) are available exclusively to accredited educational institutions, their employees and students of such institutions. Only officially accredited educational institutions are eligible to obtain Agisoft PhotoScan educational licenses. This includes: universities, colleges, junior colleges, scientific and technical schools, vocational schools, and correspondence schools. Educational or Educational Floating licenses can also be purchased by students and officially employed teaching and research staff of officially accredited educational institutions. Any educational license prohibits all commercial uses of the software. Educational/Educational Floating and Stand-Alone/Floating licenses differ legally but are technically identical.
Agisoft PhotoScan Pro allows users to generate high resolution georeferenced orthomosaics and exceptionally detailed DEMs/textured polygonal models. The automated workflow enables a non-specialist to process thousands of aerial images on a desktop computer to produce professional class photogrammetric data.

To fulfill the georeferencing task the program needs either GPS coordinates associated with cameras, provided in an EXIF/plain text file, or GCP coordinates that otherwise can be used to achieve higher accuracy (up to 5cm). Camera calibration data can be calculated by the program (and exported if needed) or imported from an outer source.

Agisoft PhotoScan Pro supports a range of input formats including JPEG, TIFF, PNG. A wide range of output formats (GeoTiff, xyz, Google KML, Wavefront OBJ, VRML, COLLADA, PDF) ensures easy import to any GIS system for future photogrammetric analysis.
  • Aerial triangulation
  • Polygonal model generation (plain/textured)
  • Setting coordinate system
  • Georeferenced digital elevation model (DEM) generation
  • Georeferenced orthophoto generation
  • Georeferencing using flight log and/or GCPs
  • Multispectral imagery processing
Geotility uses the image associated position/attitude data that is generated by Field of View's GeoSnap systems to directly georeference aerial images and overlay them onto Google Earth™ background imagery.
