Educational, Floating License Terms
Educational licenses are available exclusively to accredited educational institutions, their employees and students of such institutions. Only officially accredited educational institutions are eligible to obtain Agisoft PhotoScan educational licenses. This includes: universities, colleges, junior colleges, scientific and technical schools, vocational schools, and correspondence schools. Educational Floating licenses can also be purchased by students and officially employed teaching and research staff of officially accredited educational institutions. Any educational license prohibits all commercial uses of the software.
The floating license allows the user to install the program on as many computers as desired and run it, at any one time, on as many systems as the number of licenses purchased indicates. One computing machine shall be designated as the “license server”; the license server utility installed on it will manage license distribution across the network of computers where the program has been installed. A Photoscan license is not time-limited and includes 12 months of e-mail based technical support. It also entitles the licensee to free updates of the software up to the version 1.9.x.
Agisoft PhotoScan Pro allows users to generate high resolution georeferenced orthomosaics and exceptionally detailed DEMs/textured polygonal models. The automated workflow enables a non-specialist to process thousands of aerial images on a desktop computer to produce professional class photogrammetric data.
To fulfill the georeferencing task the program needs either GPS coordinates associated with cameras, provided in an EXIF/plain text file, or GCP coordinates that otherwise can be used to achieve higher accuracy (up to 5cm). Camera calibration data can be calculated by the program (and exported if needed) or imported from an outer source.
Agisoft PhotoScan Pro supports a range of input formats including JPEG, TIFF, PNG. A wide range of output formats (GeoTiff, xyz, Google KML, Wavefront OBJ, VRML, COLLADA, PDF) ensures easy import to any GIS system for future photogrammetric analysis.
